cheesecake?
This is my last week of freedom before uni stuff starts up again. Will I be able to carry on playing with stamps and cards and pencils? Who knows, if you see any more posts from me over the next 4 weeks I guess I've figured out how to be in placement, do my family stuff, do my research stuff, do my exercise stuff and do my crafty stuff. Wish me luck.
I'd like to enter this card into two challenges this week. I used my favourite stamps in this. I've used this (Pennyblack) mice stamp a number of times and it always makes me smile. I coloured it with watercolour pencils and inktense pencils. I used glaze to highlight and glitter cos... glitter! The card stock and ribbons come from my stash.
I had fun doing this challenge. Thank you

frustrated
Australia is burning. It scares me senseless and I can't read/watch much before tears start rolling down my face. Then comes the awful realisation that there's a good chance that this could have been prevented - or lessened -if the people in power hadn't put the mighty dollar ahead of the insignificant people. I'm also so angry I feel sick that the right to mine water was given ...I don't actually care who to. Australia regularly goes through droughts, it should have been an easy yeah, no.
And then behind this there's the horrific new rights agenda being shunted through. I've been a health care worker all my life. My personal beliefs have never impacted on my promise to care for all, in the best way I could and I'm appalled that this agenda was even conceived.
I've also had posts removed from my Facebook account - posts about the person who is theoretically in charge here. He disgusts me, as much as the tangerine shit gibbon ( thanks Scotland) and the blonde twatdoofus. Why are there so many incompetent politicians in charge?

Sunflower daze
It's summer down here at the bottom of the world, which means that December birthdays happen in summer.
I think this is the first time I've used this sunflower stamp and not thrown away the resulting image. I've no idea where I bought the stamp from but it has the code K-025 on it. I coloured the image using copic markers and inktense pencils. Background papers were scraps in my scrap paper box. I used a decoupage glaze on the foremost petals and I like the shine that that gives (not tried this before).
I'd like to enter this into the Make My Monday Challenge #112A

Starry, starry mouse, paint your palette black and gold
It's been a long time since I made any cards. So long that a number of my inks, pens, brushes and tools have died. However, I need to do something to make my heart happy and messing with ink and watercolours is one of those things. So I hunted down the stamping challenges I used to participate in, got a little inspired. Tidied up my garage (the only space I can craft in) and got to it.
I tried to make the bowl look a little more bowl like by adding a layer of sealer to it... it looks better in reality. The Pennyblack mouse was painted with watercolours and the bowl and stars were completed with inktense pencils and glitter applied. I cannot remember the name of the star background stamp and the name on the block is unreadable (see I said it had been a while).
Thanks for stopping by. :)
